Back to Costa Rica!

Lookin' pretty at Puerto Viejo with Debbie, Beth, and Kerri.
Me on the stairs at our sketchy hostel in Tamarindo.
Me in a park in San Jose - this is the only pretty part of the city.
A nice scene from the beach, Punta Uva on the Caribbean.
Me and Tobi chillin' at the hostel in Tamarindo.
Rahel, Lili, Amber, and me representing the four families from the rally. Team Pura Vida got third out of four. Whoops.

Fun Stuff
Here's a picture of me once again at the top of Tajumulco (on a cloudless day, supposedly the Pacific can be seen from here). Then there's me overlooking Lago Atitlan.
Me and most of my good friends at a cool restaurant in San Pedro.
Me showing you a waterfall at the 'finca de cafe'.
Me in the middle of my three day hike from Xela to San Pedro.

Cosas Increibles de Guatemala

Here are some of the most amazing things I saw on my trip to Guatemala:
I visited the local cemetery of Xela, which had stunning crypts and tombs of every shape and color (families come and paint the tombs bright colors every year on Day of the Dead) and were covered with flowers. For anyone who hasn't been to Central America and didn't know, all the cemeteries are above ground, and caskets are often slid into walls like this one.
The flower pic is one I took on a three day hike. The mountain in the background is Volcan Santa Maria, which I also hiked.
The people of Guatemala were so cool. All the kids were beautiful, like this little girl. The girls weaving and the man with the watermelons we came across in tiny villages in the mountains on a hike. The watermelon guy is wearing what looks like a skirt. Most of the men in these little villages wore them, and don't forget to note the ever-present machete at his side, like every other Guatemalan man ever.
Sunrise, sunset

Here are some pretty pictures of the sun I've taken on my trip. The side-ways ones are both the sun rising at the top of Tajumulco, the tallest point in Central America; the beach one is the sunset at Tamarindo, Costa Rica; the other one with water is the sun rising over Lago Atitlan, Guat; and the last one is the sun setting over Nueva Alianza, a coffee farm in Guat.

Christmas Break 05-06

So here're some pics of what I've been up to back in good ol' Colorado. Some friends and I went and saw Beauty and the Beast at a dinner theater, went ice skating, and on a beautiful hike. My sister and I got our wisdom teeth out too - our chubby cheeks aren't just a result of all that Christmas food! It's been a great break so far...
